Jong was born April 12, 1979.  He graduated from El Dorado High School in 1997.  Jordan finished his career at El Dorado with 23 wins (1st), 145 strikeouts (6th) and an ERA of 3.45 (14th).  He went on to play Division I ball at Cal State Fullerton where he was drafted in the 18th round (536th overall) of the Major League Amateur Draft by the Toronto Blue Jays.

Jordan De Jong made his Major League debut with the Toronto Blue Jays on June 6, 2007.  His last Major League game was on July 7, 2007.  Jordan played professional baseball for seven seasons.  His Minor League assignments included Toronto Organization Rookie Ball (2002), Auburn (A – 2002), Dunedin (A+ – 2003), New Haven (AA – 2003), New Hampshire (AA – 2004-2006), Syracuse (AAA – 2006), New Hampshire (AA – 2007), Syracuse (AAA – 2007-2008).   During Jordan’s seven seasons in the Minor Leagues he appeared in 328 games finishing with a 38-22 record and an ERA of 3.41
