EDHS 2 Tesoro 0 – 10 Inning First Round CIF Victory

El Dorado hit the ball hard all day – but collected only 6 hits. Kyle Twomey kept the Hawks in the game all afternoon with a masterful performance. He scattered 4 Tesoro hits over 9 innings allowing no runs. The top of the 10th saw Jason Moll collect his second hit of the day followed by Nate Alam advancing on the next at-bat. Drew Winter layed down a sacrifice bunt moving the runners to third and second. PJ Conlon collected 2 RBI’s on the next at-bat when he doubled in the winning runs. El Dorado advances to the second round of the CIF Southern Section Division I playoffs on Tuesday, May 22nd where they will face Huntington Beach. Huntington Beach defeated Long Beach Poly by a score of 2-1.

The El Dorado Hawks travel to Tesoro in First Round CIF Southern Section Division I Playoffs. Tesoro finished the regular season with an 18-10-1 record and finished Second in the South Coast League with a League record of 7-5 behind League Champion El Toro. Tesoro scored 145 runs on the season while allowing 98. El Dorado scored 103 runs on the season while only allowing 69. Parents, fans and alums get out and support the Hawks! Go El Dorado!

The El Dorado Golden Hawks Varsity Baseball team concluded their regular season on Wednesday, May 9th vs. Foothill High School. The Hawks 3-1 victory guaranteed them a Second Place finish in the Century League. The Hawks must now wait until Monday, May 14th at 12:30 p.m. to learn of their First Round CIF Southern Section Division I opponent (as well as time and location). We hope you will all get out and support the Hawks during the CIF Playoffs!

Senior Day – Parents and Players Honored & Hawks defeat Foothill 3-1

The El Dorado Hawks finished the regular season with a 3-1 win over Century League opponent Foothill on Wednesday, May 9th. The Senior Parents and Players were honored before the game. Their pictures will be up on the website slideshow over the next few days. The Hawks win secured a second place Century League finish with a League record of 11-7 and an overall regular season record of 17-10. The CIF Southern Section Division I pairings will be announced on Monday, May 14th at 12:30 p.m. You will be able to view pairings, brackets, etc. after 12:30 p.m. on Monday, May 14th on the CIF SS website www.cifss.org.
